While smart contracts and institutions dominate the list of rich Ethereum owners in 2025, a few individuals still have vast sums of at ETH.
Joseph Lubin, co-founder of Ethereum, Head of ConsenSys, and currently Chairman of Ethereum Treasury Sharplink, holds an estimated 500,000 ETH (around USD 1.2 billion). However, this has never been officially confirmed. Recently, the crypto bull predicted: “Ethereum will make another 100x, probably even more.”
It is also assumed that Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, between 250,000 and 280,000 ETH (approx. 950 million US dollars). These are largely said to be distributed over a small number of non-deposited wallets.
Rain LÃ3hmus, co-founder of the LHV Bank, purchased 250,000 ETH during the Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2014, but lost access to the private key. His ETH remain untouched and is now worth almost 900 million US dollars.
Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, founder of the US crypto stock exchange Gemini, are to personally control approximately 150,000 to 200,000 ETH ETH separately from the exchange tract world of over 360,000 ETH.
Anthony Di Iorio, another Ethereum co-founder, reportedly holds 50,000-100,000 ETH.
Creeping crypto investors usually receive a lot of attention in the space. Only yesterday 1.8 billion US and thus lowered the price. The new blockchain projects from Google Cloud, Circle and Stripe are also pressuring Ethereum.
The Ethereum Treasury companies’ race is currently headed by Bitmine Immersion Technologies (around 1,800,000 ETH) and Lubins SharpLink Gaming (around 800,000 ETH).
BlackRocks iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) currently holds over 3,000,000 ETH – all spot ETFs together more than 5,000,000 ETH. Coinbase (approximately 5,000,000 ETH) and Binance (approximately 4,200,000 ETH) are the two stock exchanges with the largest ETH stocks.
